https://seattle.gov/council/public-safety To provide policy direction and oversight and to deliberate and make recommendations on legislative matters relating to: criminal justice and law enforcement, including the Seattle Police Department, the City Attorney’s Office, and the Seattle Municipal Court; the Community Assisted Response and Engagement Department, including the City’s 911 Center and development and implementation of programs related to alternatives to police response; police accountability, including the Office of Police Accountability, Office of Inspector General, and the Community Police Commission; the Seattle Fire Department, including fire prevention and suppression, and emergency medical services; and the Office of Emergency Management, including emergency preparedness, management, and response.
